Bus substitution along Blue Line over the weekend

The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) reminds all riders to "Be safe: wear a mask everywhere on CTA, make a space and keep your distance from others!" On the Blue Line they advise of possible delays this weekend.

The CTA provides information on their website about what they are doing to keep passengers safe.

As part of the Your New Blue modernization program, the CTA warns possible delays  between Sept. 18 and 21. They recommend allowing extra travel time.

Buses will substitute for the train between Harlem (O’Hare branch) and Rosemont stations.*

The substitutions begin at 10 p.m. on Fri., Sept. 18 to 4 a.m. on Mon., Sept. 21.

Trains will operate between O’Hare and Rosemont and between Harlem (O’Hare branch), downtown, and Forest Park.

Shuttle buses will replace rail service between Harlem (O’Hare branch) and Rosemont.

Where shuttle buses replace train service from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. Friday night and from midnight to 4 a.m. Saturday and Sunday nights, train service will be extended to O’Hare, according to the CTA.
