CTA works on Blue Line this weekend

The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) alerts riders that there may be delays do to service changes on the Blue Line this weekend.

They also remind riders to:

  • wear a mask everywhere on CTA
  • make a space
  • keep your distance from others

Boarding change, delays between LaSalle and Grand

Sat., Dec. 12 at 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

Board and exit all trains on the Forest Park-bound side of the platform at the Jackson, Monroe, Washington and Clark stations. 

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between LaSalle and Grand.

This is maintenance work to ensure that trains continue to operate safely along the Blue Line. 

Boarding change, delays between Grand and LaSalle

Sun., Dec. 13 at 2 p.m. 

Board and exit all trains on the O’Hare-bound side of the platform at the Clark/Lake, Washington, Monroe, and Jackson stations. 

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Grand and LaSalle. 

This work is addressing signal improvements, allowing trains to operate more efficiently along the Blue Line as part of the Your New Blue modernization program.
