In celebration of Chicago Artists Month, A Year in Humboldt Park's opening will be Monday, October 3rd at Birchwood Kitchen, 2211 W. North Avenue, 6-8PM. The opening will benefit Co-op Image. Suggested donation is $5. Proceeds will go to Co-op's hot glass art programs for youth in Humboldt Park. We'll have nosh by Birchwood- some featuring Co-op products (yes, this is the group that makes Co-op Hot Sauce!), and silent auction with lots of good deals from Wicker Park and Bucktown businesses! A Year in Humboldt Park is the photo essay of the year 2009 by Dina Petrakis, curated by Candice Martens. Repeating images of iconic Park views and individual photographs reflect the richness and diversity of a life cycle in the Park, one of the most widely used in Chicago. The work was named to New City's Top 5 of Everything- documentary photography category! Please RSVP at Birchwood Kitchen
